Carol Youngjohn

Sacramento Ballet

Carol YoungjohnWestside Ballet has been Carol’s home away from home since starting ballet as a child in Houston and moving to Los Angeles.

Carol’s relationship with Westside Ballet has brought her many opportunities as a dancer and a teacher. Her featured roles at Westside included solo Spanish in The Nutcracker (1985-87).

She received a full scholarship to San Francisco Ballet School followed by eight years performing with the Sacramento Ballet. As Westside Ballet’s Regisseur, she has had the wonderful opportunity to set Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco on her students, under Yvonne Mounsey and Patricia Neary’s watchful eyes. Most of all, Carol treasures the lifetime friends she has made through Westside Ballet.

Carol danced as a guest artist at Westside Ballet’s 2002 Gala.
