Parents, Students and Teachers,
I am behind in thanking each and every one of you for contributing to an amazing Nutcracker season. As always, it is a huge collaboration and this year our Nutcracker came together in such a stellar way. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you!
All of the students worked so hard to make this a wonderful production. As I said after the performance, every part is important and I want all the kids to know that whether you are a party boy or girl, a mouse or the Dew Drop Fairy you matter. Your hard work and professionalism are what makes Westside the best. You all demonstrated that philosophy in the achievement of five fantastic performances.
All the volunteers who worked tirelessly made the magic happen – my heartfelt thanks goes out to you. Whether behind the curtain or in front of the house you also contributed to making Westside Ballet’s pre-professional company look like a professional ballet company. The artistic staff, well what can I say but Bravo! You worked and worked honing in on the little details that make all the difference in a production and took this year’s Nutcracker to a new height. My mom’s legacy is definitely continuing and will only grow to a new level thanks to the amazing teaching and coaching that you offer.
As we start 2013 I look forward to the continued growth of the school and company. There are many new and exciting things in the works at Westside and I will keep you informed as they happen.
All my best,
