An afternoon and evening with ROBERT FAIRCHILD Wednesday, November 20th!

Mr. Fairchild will be conducting A MASTER CLASS Wednesday, NOVEMBER 20th, 4-5:30pm for Advanced Dancers – ACADEMY LEVELS 6-7

Later in the evening, JOIN MR. FAIRCHILD FOR A FREE SCREENING OF HIS FILM “IN THIS LIFE” at the BROAD STAGE AT 7:30pm with a Q & A immediately following the 11-minute film.

Often considered one of the all-time great dancers, a former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, and currently featured in the film version of Cats, Robbie has been a guest teacher for Westside Ballet of Santa Monica over the years, sharing a strong affiliation with the Balanchine legacy with Westside’s origin story and continued standards of training. Robbie has been an inspiration for many of the aspiring young dancers at Westside Ballet, especially since he and Travis Wall led the #boysdancetoo movement that sprung from Lara Spencer’s remarks about boys ballet on GMA in August.

Thank You To All Who Joined Us To Celebrate Yvonne Mounsey’s Centennial!

This year our fourth annual fundraising gala moved to June when we celebrated our co-founder Yvonne Mounsey’s 100th birthday and the contributions of the Sassounian Family and The Huntley Hotel on June 8th, at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica. We paid tribute to Westside Ballet’s founder with a Centennial Gala honoring the past, present and—most importantly—the future of this community gem, showcasing the company, alumni and guest stars in the masterworks of George Balanchine and Yvonne Mounsey.

Congratulations to Ariana Lott, WSB Alumna

Congratulations to WSB alumna, Ariana Lott on getting her M.D.! We’re all so proud of you Dr Lott! Ariana grew up at WSB, all the way through dancing the Sugar Plum Fairy in 2006; her dad, Roy Lott, was a stage manager for Westside and the whole family was involved.
