A Big Thank You To All Who Joined Us For The 3rd Annual Fundraising Soirée

Our 3rd Annual Fundraising Soirée was a great success, thanks to many, many participants, dancers, and people working behind the scenes. It was our privilege to honor:

  • Margaret Hills, Royal Ballet principal dancer and then ballet mistress and teacher; and,
  • Joan Bayley, who danced with Carmelita Maracci and later, during the Golden Age of Movie Musicals, shared her expertise with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland.

If you weren’t able to participate, it’s not too late to donate:

Congratulations to Ariana Lott, WSB Alumna

Congratulations to WSB alumna, Ariana Lott on getting her M.D.! We’re all so proud of you Dr Lott! Ariana grew up at WSB, all the way through dancing the Sugar Plum Fairy in 2006; her dad (on right), Roy Lott, was a stage manager for Westside and the whole family was involved.

Adult Repertory Class

Beginning/Intermediate Ballet with Rebecca Witjas
Saturdays 12:30pm – 2:00 pm, beginning January 27th

Take it as a regular class to learn combinations OR jump in and perform in June with other adults from Westside! After a 30-minute barre, we will rehearse different ballet pieces to various types of music. Don’t worry if you miss occasionally because we will be practicing to perfection. We will have an Adult performance in Studio 6 in June 2018, date TBD.

Beginning Ballet Class Changes to Stretch

Aimée’s Monday night Beginning Ballet will become a Stretch Class starting January 8. Proper stretching techniques can work wonders to restore your flexibility, rejuvenate your balance, improve your coordination, and increase your range of motion both in and out of the studio.

This is our first time offering this class to adults at Westside, so don’t miss this opportunity to add a dedicated stretch class to your routine!

Taught by Aimée Gaudio on Mondays, 7 – 8pm.
