Dancers! Register for participation here.

Spring Showcase Audition: Saturday February 17th, 2:30-5:00pm, Studio 6. All full-time dancers in Levels 3-7 are eligible. You can participate in Spring Showcase even if you did not do Nutcracker, but you must be a full-time student until June, 2018. For those who have not registered online yet, the deadline is Friday, February 16th at 5pm. Pay your participation fee online. Please email Trish Blessing with questions. Rehearsals begin on Saturday, February 24th.

Tickets go on sale on March 11, at $35 for performances Sunday, May 27 at 1 and 5 pm, at the Broad Stage, Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center.

The 2018 Spring Showcase will feature the revival of Paquita grand pas classique, first created in 1846, with the dynamic score by Minkus, and beautiful ensemble, trio and solo segments.

Our Next Observation Week will be Monday, March 5th through Saturday, March 10th!

No cell phone use, photography, videos or other electronic devices. Small children are allowed to observe if they can sit quietly. Due to the limited space of the Monday Level 3 class, unless this is your child’s only class, please observe on a different day.

On Stage Recital

Pre-Ballet to Level 2 Ballet, Boys, All Jazz Levels, Teen Ballet

We don’t have a confirmed date yet from the Santa Monica Schools for a venue. For now, save the first two weekends in June. We should have confirmation sometime in March. Once we know the venue, we will determine the Participation Fee and the Ticket Prices. For any new students who started after December, participation in On Stage is at the discretion of the teacher as to their readiness. We will have online registration for On Stage this year that will include pricing and costume information.

Adult Repertory Class

Beginning/Intermediate Ballet with Rebecca Witjas
Saturdays 12:30pm – 2:00 pm, beginning January 27th

Take it as a regular class to learn combinations OR jump in and perform in June with other adults from Westside! After a 30-minute barre, we will rehearse different ballet pieces to various types of music. Don’t worry if you miss occasionally because we will be practicing to perfection. We will have an Adult performance in Studio 6 in June 2018, date TBD.

Beginning Ballet Class Changes to Stretch

Aimée’s Monday night Beginning Ballet will become a Stretch Class starting January 8. Proper stretching techniques can work wonders to restore your flexibility, rejuvenate your balance, improve your coordination, and increase your range of motion both in and out of the studio.

This is our first time offering this class to adults at Westside, so don’t miss this opportunity to add a dedicated stretch class to your routine!

Taught by Aimée Gaudio on Mondays, 7 – 8pm.
